Nigerian rapper Falz has clarified that his recent traditional wedding-themed photos were for a creative project not an actual marriage. He jested that, should he ever tie the knot, people might not even care.

Nigerian rapper and actor Folarin “Falz” Falana has addressed swirling rumors that he secretly got married. The speculation was triggered by a series of traditional-themed photos he posted online, which many fans mistook for actual wedding or introduction ceremony images. Falz clarified that the pictures were part of a promotional photoshoot, not a reflection of real-life marital events.

On Instagram, Falz responded with his signature mix of humour and candor, joking that when he eventually marries, “maybe nobody will care” because the 'boy who cried wolf' effect might have already taken hold. He added that he isn’t obligated to publicly share such personal milestones, though he wouldn't rule it out entirely if love eventually inspires him to do so.

The buzz began when he posted introduction-style images with a cryptic caption: “It’s been a long time coming, and having to do this with you is one of the best decisions of my life. First of all, introduction…” This sparked congratulatory reactions, while others suspected a promotional or creative stunt.

Rounding off the social media frenzy, Nigerian actress Funke Akindele humorously weighed in, writing in the comments, “Sebi, you don go marry?” Falz responded with laughter, continuing to fuel both speculation and amusement.
