Dr. Tufab, known for his close connections with Nigerian global icon Wizkid, has publicly accused Davido of issuing threats to his life. The allegations surfaced in a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) where Tufab shared screenshots of their private conversation. In the exchange, Davido appears to express disapproval over being called “Osakpolo,” a nickname he did not appreciate, stating:
“My name is not osakpolo, I’m warning u. Ok continue. That’s all I will say. I Dey warn u. Wetin wan happen? U be bird, I be aye, Make we play the game.
In response, Tufab denies using that term and clarifies that he has never attacked Davido verbally. He also stresses that he’s not affiliated with any cult or fraternity despite Davido's references to “Aye” and “Bird.” Tufab wrote:
“My life is under threat, and if anything happens to me, y’all know who to hold responsible. I’m bringing this to the general public as a disclaimer against my personality.”
Following Tufab’s post, critics quickly weighed in many on social media questioned the authenticity of the chat due to identical timestamps and formatting that seemed unusually synchronized. One user noted, “How did the whole chat happen between 12:03. and all responses BTW 12:03? Just curious.
