Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has tugged at the heartstrings of fans after sharing an emotional video expressing how deeply she misses her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, months after her wedding and relocation.
Priscilla, also known as Priscy, got married to Tanzanian singer Juma Mussa Mkambala, popularly known as Juma Jux, in a series of glamorous ceremonies between April and May 2025. The couple's union dominated African social media for weeks, with elaborate traditional and white weddings held in both Nigeria and Tanzania.
Following the wedding, Priscilla relocated to East Africa to live with her husband, marking a significant new chapter in her life and creating a quiet emotional shift for her mother.
In the now-viral video posted on social media, Iyabo Ojo is seen slowly walking around her home, visibly nostalgic. She pauses at her daughter’s room and quietly reflects:
“If it was before, I would have gone into Priscilla’s room.”
The actress’s bond with her daughter has always been admired by fans. Priscilla was frequently seen by her mother’s side in public, during brand campaigns, and even when Iyabo faced media backlash. Her sudden absence has clearly left a void, and Iyabo’s vulnerability in the video did not go unnoticed.
Fans and fellow celebrities have since flooded the comments section with words of comfort, praise for her honesty, and admiration for the close-knit relationship between the two.
This heartfelt moment serves as a reminder of the emotional side of parenting, especially when children grow up, get married, and move away. And for Iyabo Ojo, it’s clear that while she’s proud of her daughter’s journey, the silence left behind is still something she’s learning to embrace.
