Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James doesn’t do anything small  and her 30th birthday party was no exception.

The fashion boss celebrated her big 3-0 on Monday with a lavish celebration attended by big names in fashion, film, music, and social media. But the real showstopper? A 20-foot-tall birthday cake reportedly worth ₦18 million and social media hasn’t stopped talking since.

The massive cake, which the baker proudly claimed to be the tallest in Africa, was unveiled mid-party, with Veekee glowing beside it. Fans cheered, phones were out, and the internet did its thing.

From Eucharia Anunobi to Moses Bliss, Mai Atafo, Osas Ighodaro, Iyabo Ojo, Liquorose, Saga, Yhemo Lee, Hilda Baci, Juliana Olayode and even TikTok star Peller with his girlfriend Jarvis the guest list was stacked, and the vibes were premium.

But as photos and videos of the cake hit the timeline, mixed reactions followed.

“Money wey I go use buy land,” one user commented.
“Na im make Tinubu no believe say suffer dey,” another added.
“Some people sabi waste money. Everything sef no be cake,” someone else said.
“We shall never be poor. Amen,” echoed many more.

While some were in awe, others questioned the priorities behind spending that much on cake. But to be fair, Veekee has always been big on bold celebrations. Earlier this year, she and her husband Femi Atere marked their first wedding anniversary with stunning photoshoots and spiritual reflections, posting sweet messages like “life’s best gift to me” on Instagram.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2024 with multiple ceremonies in Akwa Ibom and Lagos, have quickly become social media royalty known for their glam, love, and God-first content.
